Advanced Blender Course at the Leipzig School of Design
Sunday, March 13th, 2011Spring is coming, and it not only brings sunshine but also new Blender courses here in Leipzig! :-)
The Leipzig School of Design has already hosted one Blender course this year and it turned out to be a great success! So they want to continue to provide Germany with high quality Blender classes, and I have the joy to teach there. Equipped with twelve powerful 27″ iMacs it’s a great place to teach and to learn!
The introductory course in February was a lot of fun for the participants and me. We managed to go through all the essential topics like interface, object manipulation, mesh modeling, modifiers, materials, textures, lighting, animation, rendering and even the basics of compositing! Of course that was a lot of information for 3 days but I think it went really well and the students have now a solid base to build on and to explore Blender on their own.
So now it’s time to take it to the next level and have a look at some more advanced workflows and techniques. The advanced course for Blender at the Leipzig School of Design will cover topics like topology, sculpting, displacement baking, projection painting, lighting techniques, advanced materials and compositing. Or any other topic! Of course I will adapt the contents of the class to the participants’ needs and wishes.
The course is € 550,- plus taxes, But if you’re short on money, you should definitely check out the government aid (link 1, link 2), which is available for these courses!
Participants for this course should already have a solid knowledge of the basics of Blender, and although we will be glad to welcome international guests, I should note that the course will be in german, obviously. :-)
